The Basilica of our lady of the mount commonly known as mount Mary church, is a roman catholic Basilica located in Bandra, Mumbai.In every September, the feast of the blessed virgin Mary is celebrated on the first Sunday after 8 Sept. this celebration is known as Bandra Fair.
The church is rebuilt just 100 year back, but the history behind the statue of our lady goes back to the 16th century when Portugal's Priest Jesuit brought the statue to India. in 1700 Arab pirates disfigured statue by cutting off the right hand.
in 1760, the church was rebuilt and statue was moved in st. andrew's church near by. one leged says that koli fisherman dreamt that he would find a statue in the sea & it was found floating in the sea between 1700 & 1760. locals call the statue Mot Mauli means Pearl Mother.
This beautiful, wooden statue was initially brought by the Jesuits from Portugal during the sixteenth century. It was then placed atop the main altar of a tiny oratory on a hill at Lands End in Bandora( Bandra)
3. Marine Drive.
Built on reclaimed land in 1920, marine drive is along the Arebian sea shore from the Nariman Point ( Girgao Chowpatty ) continues to the foot of Malbar hill.
It's one of Mumbai's most popular Place. it is not only sunset watching point but also it is best spot for Night riders with fabulous view.t its twinkling Night -time lights have earned in the nickname 'The Queen's Necklace'.

4. Colaba Causeway.
Location: South Mumbai,Colaba Causeway.

How to Reach : CSMT to Colaba Causeway 3km. you can take cab from CSMT but best way to enjoy it to walk from CSMT to Colaba Causeway.
One can get from cloths and accessories to antique showpieces and toys, colaba causaway has every thing that a shopper might be interested in. it is indeed the perfect place to get a taste of south Mumbai's Culture.

The Haji Ali Dargah was constructed in 1431 in memory of wealthy Muslim merchant, Sayyed Peer Haji Ali Shah Bukhari who gave up all his worldly possessions before making a pilgrimage to mecca.
Bukhari travelled around the world in the early to mid 15th century, and eventually settled in present day Mumbai.
